For Spring 2026, Greta Constantine’s Kirk Pickersgill looked to Jamaica—the country of his heritage—for a collection that merged island vibrancy with his well-honed eye for red carpet drama. While he has long been associated with bold gowns and sculptural silhouettes, this season introduced a more personal lens, weaving cultural touchpoints into the brand’s signature language of glamour.

Color was the most immediate reference: black, green, and gold—the hues of the Jamaican flag—surfaced in subtle gradients and full-force statements alike. A vivid green mikado strapless gown with white edging spoke to precision and polish, while a sweeping black gown with a sheer embroidered skirt played with transparency and restraint. These pieces served as proof that cultural homage and formal eveningwear can coexist seamlessly.

The collection also leaned into natural and oceanic motifs drawn from Jamaica’s coastal landscape. Coral ruffles cascaded down a statement gown that suggested movement beneath the sea, while a sculptural white dress with layered, cloudlike textures recalled marine creatures in motion. A cocktail silhouette covered in dark sequins shimmered like wet shells collected along the shore.

Yet beyond spectacle, Pickersgill explored new ground. Tailoring entered the conversation through a mossy embroidered suit that traded high-octane glamour for sharp attitude, broadening the label’s scope. And in a more literal gesture, a glossy red leather top stamped with “Jamaica” reinterpreted one of the island’s most recognizable cultural images, bridging fashion with pop iconography.

The result was a collection that balanced grandeur with intimacy: a designer rooted in opulence finding fresh ways to express identity, heritage, and place. Greta Constantine may be known for its gowns, but Spring 2026 revealed a deeper story—one that expanded the vocabulary of Caribbean-inspired fashion without sacrificing its dramatic DNA.
